Fiat Voluntas Tua: July 4th

our life, mostly in pictures and everynow and then a few words.... because i love my camera and I'm not always so good with words!

Not that I have become perfect yet: I have not yet won, but I am still running, trying to capture the prize for which Christ Jesus captured me. I can assure you my brothers, I am far from thinking that I have already won. All I can say is that I forget the past and I strain ahead for what is still to come; I am racing for the finish, for the prize to which God calls us upwards to receive in Christ Jesus. (Phil 3:13-14)

Lord, inspire me.....

Augustine (5th century) comments on those who stood at the cross of Jesus: "As they were looking on, so we too gaze on his wounds as he hangs. We see his blood as he dies. We see the price offered by the redeemer, tought the scars of hisresurrection. He bows his head, as if to kiss you. His heart is made bare open, as it were, in love to you. His arms are extended that he may embrace you. His whole body is displayed for your redemption. Ponder how great these things area. Let all this be rightly weighted in your mind: as he was fixed to the cross in every part of his body for you, so he may now be fixed in every part of your soul."
