This wasn't in the book either... but something similar and I really wanted to use up the material left over from Amelia's dress and bonnet. It turned out great... I wish it was a bit longer and I wouldn't mind it being a dress so much! So I need to figure something out for a shirt... or she keep the dress look which isn't bad in this 90 degree heat!!

Yesterday I found this book Making Children's Clothes: 25 Stylish Step-by-step Sewing Projects for 0-5 Years by Emma Hardy and you can find it here http://amzn.com/190652579X and with in hours I was home making (homemaking hehe) this dress for Amelia. This dress is only an adaptation from a style in the book that's kinda how I sew and my girls are SKINNY so I have to tuck, pin and dart so they get a better fit!

Anyway since I found this book I have been in heaven and I am going to make one of everything in it and I can't wait! Plus a found some super cute fall Corduroy material!!

P.S. I LOVE AMAZON.COM I totally over-paid for this book ($19.99) at hobby lobby!! :-(

Eva has a skirt (which she call's a gert, last night she told papa that mama and her were gonna make her a blanket for her dolly which we finished this morning and gert for church on sunday!) -LOVE IT- coming up really soon, so I'm not leaving her in the dust!!

Amelia 18 months and growing strong

 

Amelia had her 18 month well child visit and is growing great she run's in the 50%
Weight: 23 pounds same as Eva at 18 months... which means Miss Amelia has slimmed down a lot!!
Height: 31 inches which is 1.5 inches shorter than Eva at 18 months... but I think Amelia has the longer legs!!
Head: 46.25 cm ... 1 cm larger than Eva's head at 18 months... I do believe 1 cm makes all the difference!! ;-)

she has gained 14.8 pounds since birth, grown 12 inches... and I'm pretty sure her head is much bigger than at birth!!

Eva turns THREE on the 22nd and she is so excited cause we are gonna make cupcakes!! Come back and check out some pictures I'm working on for her.
